1956 Press Photo London Druids today held their ancient Spring Equinox ceremony

Ancient Druid ceremony on Tower Hill. General view: For the first time in 162 years - the white robed members of the Druid Order held an ancient ceremony on Tower Hill. To mark the coming of Spring the ceremony is similar but on a smaller scale to the traditional Stonehenge. It is reputed then an ancient Briton burial ground is beneath the famous White Tower. Photo shows general view of the procession coming down Tower Hill watched by crowds for the ceremony this morning.
