1968 Press Photo Two New Guardi at the "Alte Pinkaothek" in Munich

Description
Two New Guardi at the "Alte Pinkaothek" in Munich": At 7th August, 1968, the "Bayerische Hypotheken-und Wechselbank" handed over two paintings of the Italian Francesco Guardi to the public. The presentation took place in the "Alte Pinakothek". The pictures are "The clock-tower at teh Marous-place" (44X70.5 cm), and "Fire in San Marucola district" (42.5X62.5 cm), The later shows an event from 1789, the artist covered with this painting and also with several drawings. Both works were sold to the heirs-living in New York-of Baron Nathaneal Rothschild. With these two paintings the Rokoko-collection of the "Bayerische Hypotheken-and Wechselbank" should be completed. Photo shows "The clock-tower at teh Marous-place".
