Epstein's "Genesis" Sold For ~4,200.. To Be Exhibited At Blackpool: The White marble statue of a nude - pregnant woman - known as "Gen~sis" - was sold by auction at Sotheby's yesterday for ~4,800 to Mr. William Cartmell General manager of a Blackpoo waxworks. It was produced by Sir Jacob Epstein in 1931 - and created much criticism. It belonged yo Sir Alfred Bossom 76 year old Tory M.P. who paid ~2,000 for her.
