1954 Press Photo "Commanded"

No Sculptor win the Tuc's Big Money: Sculptors' entries for a competition run by the T.U.C were not good enough for the top prizes-two £1,000, one of £500 and of £250, it was announced yesterday. Artists were asked to submit ideas for two pieces at the new TUC headquarters, going up in Bloomsbury. One worl was to represent the sac ifices of trade unionists in two wars; the other symbolise the trade union movement. Six competitors-"Commanded"-were awarded £50 each.
