BABY ELEPHANT FOR LONDON ZOO ARRIVES: A baby elephant, destined for the Zoological Gardens, Regent's Park, arrived at London Airport today from Assam. Her name is Lakhsmi (after the Hindu goddess of wealth), and she is about 11 months old. Lakhsmi was caught in February in Assam, and is 4ft. lin. high. Keystone Photo Shows:- Lakhsmi, the baby elephant, being led from the aircraft on arrival at London Airport today.
