Physics Exhibition: On show at the Physics Exhibition which opened at Alexandra Palace today, is this hand-held infra red telescope developed by the Royal Aircraft Establishment at Farnborough, It works on a tiny electric generator which provides thousands of volts of electricity with every squeeze of the pistol's trigger, not batteries or mains system is needed. In conjunction with an infrared searchlight, applications could include the viewing and study of nocturnal animals, and security surveillance. Demonstrating the pistol. telescope is Mr. Killick, of the Royal Aircraft Establishment.
