Physics Exhibition. Visitors to the Physics Exhibition, which opened today at Alexandra Palace, seen trying out a hand-held infra red telescope, developed by the Royal Aircraft Establishment at Farnborough. It works on a tiny electric generator which provides thousands of volts of electricity with every squeeze of the pistol's trigger, not batteries or mains system is needed. In conjunction with an infrared searrhlight, applications could include the viewing and study of nocturnal animals, and security surveillance.
