Mass Baptism of ten adults and fifty babies after laying of Church foundation stone in Nottingham: Cut Glase fruit bowls were used as fonts at the mass baptism wh~h followed the laying of the foundation stone of the new Church of St. Francis, on the Clifton Estate, Nottingham, during the week-end. The stone was laid by the blacksmith of Clifton Villate, who is also the Parish Church Clerk, and bricklayer living on the Clifton Estate, Mr. Reuben Simkiss, one of the volunteer workers engaged in building the Church..
