President Johnson ends Ban on Baby: President Johnson has signed a special Bill to allow an 18-month-old baby to enter the U.S. The baby Irenem has Greek parents, but was sadopted by 32-year old American Air force Staff Sargeant Bob Snyder was posted back to the United States two months ago, he and his British wife. June were told the baby was prohibited immigrant. The law says foreign children whose naturalm parents are still living cannot enter the country unless they have been with their Americanparents for two years. So 30 year old border, with Irene and the coupel's nine year old son, Vincent. But Canadian officials would give Irene a visa for only 30 days, so Vincent went to his father in America and Mrs. Snyder and the baby flew to Britain. Mrs. Snyder lived with her mother in East Moseley, Surrey, while Sargeant Snyder's local Congressman fough to have Irene admitted to the United STates. YEsterday, Mrs. Snyder was called ton American Embassy in London;s Grosvenor Square to be told the fight was won. she was given a copy of "A Bill for the reilief of Irene Snyder" which will make the baby exemptfrom the immigration law. When visa formalities are completed-probably in two months, Irene and her parents and brother will be reunited at Maguire air base in New Jersey. At her sister's home in Udney Park Road, Teddington, Middlesex, yesterday, Mrs. Snyder said: This is my happiest day. We will be able to have a marvellous Christmas and start family life again.
