Daily Herald, London. Winter Sports In Scotland. Scotland's biggest ski lift has just been opened in the Cairngorm Mountains 30 miles south of Inverness. Winter sports have now become big business i n Soctland instead of a prank as in kprevious years. The Speyside hteliers have combined to start the Cairgorn Development Association and put ~120,000 into improving sports facilities. Already crowds of English and cottish visitors are enjoying skiing with similar facilities to those in Switzerland and Austria. The new chair lift takes the sports enthusiasts to the top of the Cairngorms with the choice of several runs down. The season is expected to last until April or early May. Photo shows The exhilirating view which the skier has on reaching the top of the slopes.
