1955 Press Photo Isle of Wight Grapnels fired up the Cliff face

Exercise Runaground VI - on the Isle of Wight Grapnels fired up the Cliff face: Students of the Staff Colleges of the three services are taking part in "Runaground VI" at Culver Cliff on the Isle of Wight - and Gosport today. The first phase of the demonstration - consists of a Commando Cliff assault up a 250ft. high rock face Keystone press: Rocket apparatus is used to fire grapnels up to the top of the Cliff - during the assault femonstration at Culter Cliff, on the Isle of Wight this afternoon.
