Thrusting his Bayonet into a plastic-foam igloo, a solider of the 3rd INF Regt begins cutting a door in an experimental US Army Shelter than meet Army tentage standards for combat use and filed storage. Formed by spraying a "Self-rising", Plastic foam over an inflated canvas shell, the new shelter is ready for use in less than an hour after spraying. Lightweight and weatherproof, the new shelter concept may ultimately enable the combat solider to build his field tent from Chemicals contained in two portable containers. test are being conducted at the Atlantic Research Corporation.
