Description
Glass Boat Sails - Even If Full Of Water: A "glass" boat so light that a man can carry it on his back, is being built in this country. Made from glass fibre treated with a form of resin, the boats are not affected by weather. Only 7ft. 6ins long, the "glass" dinghy will carry three men. Buoyancy is built into them and even when filled with water they will support a man. Part of the equipment supplied with each boat by the makers, a Waybridge firm, is a carrying harness. The hull of the boat is strong enough to take an out-board motor. Photo shows One of the "glass" dinghy being carried down to the water's edge for a river trip.

Photo measures 6 x 8 inches.

Photo is dated 10-11-1950.
