World's Largest Ship Launched: The world's biggest ship, the 209,000-ton supertanker, Udemitsu Maru, measuring 342 meters long, 53 meters wide, and 49 metres from his bottom to the most tip, was launched last week at the Yakahama Shipyard, Japan of Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries Cs. Built for Idamitau Kassn, a leading Japanese oil refining and importing firm. the mammoth tanker will bring oil from the Persian Gulf in Japan Owing to high winds the launching was postponed 24 hours. The ship will sail on her maiden voyage in November.
