Description
A Squat At The Russian Embassy In London In Protest Against Mr. K. 'S Announcement. Photo shows Two policemen carry 25-year-old Mrs. Anne Davidson out of the Russian Embassy in London early today. She was one of four persons who had settled in there for the night in protest against the Russian plan to explode a monster 50-megaton bomb. All are members of the Committee of 100, the action group of the ban-the-bomb campaign. They were allowed into the Embassy to voice their protest, then they refused to leave until given an assurance that the test would not take place - or until they were ejected. Eventually the police were called and carried out the four demonstrators one by one.

Photo measures 8 x 10 inches.

Photo is dated 10-18-1961.
