A POLICE CONSTABLE AND THREE MEN. ACCUSED OF AN $18,000 BANK RAID. 39-year-old Metropolitan Police-constable GEORGE ALBERT ASKEW, was charged with three other men at Waltham Cross, Essex, yesterday of breaking into Chingford's National Provincial Bank and stealing cash and jewellery worth $18,103. The men and two women - a mother and daughter were also accused of receiving part of the stolen money. All the accused were remanded for a week, the men in custody and the women on bail.
