Description
Restored Old Barge Made For A Queen: Three men, David Chenoweth, Albert Smith and Albert Porter, a gilding expert, have been engaged for the past few months restoring the Queen's Shallop - a Royal barge built by William 111 for his Queen Mary, in 1689. The work is now completed, and next year the barge will have it's new home at the National Maritime Museum, at Greenwich. Photo shows Mr. H.D. Harder, a Waterman to H.M. The Queen - looking at the Royal Crest on the stern of the barge today. He was one of the time watermen in the barge when it was last used in a pageant in 1919.

Photo measures 8 x 10.25 inches.

Photo is dated 8-18-1954.
