Press Photo Mobile Desalting Plant En Route To NJ Dept Of Conservation

Milwaukee, Wisconsin -- Now en route to the New Jersey Department of conservation and Economic Development is the above Mobile Desalting plant, just shipped by Aqua-Chem, Inc., under contract to the United States Office of Saline Water. The 50,000 gallon-per-day plant will be used throughout the United States to study the economic and technical problems involved in applying seawater desalting technology to the purification of contaminated inland water sources. If successful, this will offer thousands of local communities a new method of coping with the twin threats of water pollution and drought.
