Scientific Sensation: A group of French scientists under the direction of Dr. Rybak, working the research Laboratory of Banuyls-Sur-Mer (dept. of Pyrenees) have achieved startling results after three years of experimental work. Hearts of animals separated from the body and put into a physiological liquid have been found to continue beating for as long as a few weeks. The heart of a dog-fish has a now been beating for 170 hours. Photo Shows The three scientists - (L to R): Dr. Rybak, Dr. Cordot, his assistant, and Dr. Canivec.
