Britain's candidates for spacelab named: Britain's candidates to become in first European in space were named today by the Ministry of Industry. The five Britain's will be among 60 nominations from 11 European Space Agency Nations, who will make up the final three eventually chosen for the U.S. Spacelab mission due to take place towards the end of 1980. The Spacelab mission will last 7 days. Photo shows four of the five on the roof of the Department of Industry today. They are L-R. Mr. W.N. Grut, Materials Scientist University of Surrey, Dr. A.J. Ince, Medical Research Physicist, East. Birmingham Hospital, Dr. K.O. Mason RC. Research fellow mullard Space Science Laboratory, and Mr. G. Firmin Physicist Associated Nuclear Services Limited.
