High Explosive Caused Air Crash: Evidence of an explosion of a high explosive (of a military or similar type - not an ordinary "gelignite"0 was proved to have caused the crash of B.E.A. Comet which crashed into the Mediterranean 100 miles East of Rhodes on Oct 12th 1967. Photo Shows Mr. V.J.C. Clancey of the Explosive Division of Royal Armament Research and Development Establishment seen holding the seat cushion, which was recovered from the crash showing the evidence of the explosion.
