1962 Press Photo Press Viewing Held To Show Reconstruction Of No 10 Downing St

A press view was held held this morning to show progress and amount of work required in the present reconstruction of no. 10, 11 and rebuilding of no. 12 Downing Street (no. 12 was burned down in 1879). Cost of the work is estimated at $1,600,000 which includes the reconstruction of the Treasury. Keystone Photo Shows: The view was the main door of No. 10 looking towards the Cabinet Room this morning. The famous character of the building is to be retained.
