The United Nations security council, New York, New York: The Security Council voted today to call South Africa's intended elections in Namibia null and void and threatened sactions against South Africa if it went through with its intended elections. The vote was 10 in favor to none against (there were 5 abstentions, the United States, the United Kingdom, Federal Republic of Germany, Canada and France.) Photo shows the vote in favor of the resolution.
