Scientist's controversy about anciant stone sculpture: A stone sculpture showing the head of Roman Emperor Augustus which has found in Mainz during construction work has erased a controversy between named archaelogists. The director of the the archaic museum in Mainz, Germany, who bought for 16000 DM ~~~ he claims sensational relict from the year 20 a.c. is opposed by other scientists who believe the sculpture is a reamke from the 17th century. Photo shows director Dr. Esser with the stone head of Emperor Augustus.
