1965 Press Photo Greek Taxi Drivers Clash With Police

500 Greek taxi-drivers, escorted by their wives, clashed with police during demonstrations in front of the Parliment building in Athens. The drivers protesting againsy the Prime Minister Mr. Papandreou. who has refused to permit the issue licenses for taxi drivers since the existing numbers is much bigger than it should be. Sixteen policeman and fifteen of the demonstrators wrer injured and 24 iothers were arrested. Photo Shows Greek policeman with batons drwan chase some of the demonstrators during the clash outside the Parliament building in Athens.
