A Police Constable And Three Men Accused Of An ~18,000 Bank Raid: 39-year-old Metropolitan Police-constable George Albert Askew was charged with three other men at Waltham Cross, Essex, yesterday of breaking into Chingford's National Provincial Bank and staling cash and jewellery worth ~18,103. The men and two women - a mother and daughter were also accused of receiving part of the stolen money. All the accused were remanded for a week, the men in custody and the women on bail.
