Royal view of the fleet 15.6.53 â Portsmouth: The dispatch vessel Surprise acting as Royal Yacht seen passing along the lines of ships during the Coronation Review of the Fleet by Her Majesty The Queen, at Spithead. This picture was made from the Trinity House ship Patricia, which sailed in procession with the Royal Yacht. On the right can be seen the Italian vessel Amerigo Vespucci, with her crew manning the yards. The Italian ship, a training vessel, is one of the number of foreign ships at Spithead for the review.
