Survival Training School At Gosport Scrambling Into The Inflatable Life-Rafts: Exercises are being carried out at the Survival Training School H.M.S. Siskin RN. Air Station, Goport to demonstrate the methods of rescue and survival of the crashed air-arm pilots and shipwrecked seamen. One of the items demonstrated is a man life-raft which is rather like an inflates tented dinghy. A container of compressed carbon-dioxide inflates the dinghy ten seconds. A cover of rubberized cotton fabric is then erected on a 54 inch mast - and buttoned down of afford protection from exposure the dinghy is complete with everything needed for survival in the roughest weather.
