Description

National Indoor Athletic championships at Cosford.: Photo shows Miss K. Whiteman, (British Timken Athletic Club), doing a 'Fosbury Flop' in the High Jump event at the National Indoor Athletic Championships at Cosford yesterday. She was the only competitor to do this backward jump made famous by Olympic Gold Medallist Dick Fosbury - but it did not enable her to win the competition. Last year's champion Barbara Inkpen won again.
