Committee on Disarmament begins 1982 session. United Nations, Geneva, 25 February 1982 â The Committee on Disarmament, the worldâs principal forum for multilateral negotiations in the field of disarmament, this morning began its 1982 session at the Palais des Nations. It has been requested to submit to the General Assemblyâs Second Special Session on disarmament (New York, 7 June to 9 July, 1982) a special report on the state of negotiations of the various questions under consideration by the Committee.
