Monday, March 22nd, 1976. Security Council, United Nations, New York - Egyptian Ambassador to the U.N. Ahmed Asmat Abdel-Meguid, (lower left) speaking against Israeli occupation of the West Bank, to his left Zehdi Labib Terzi, Acting observer of the P.L.O. at the U.N. Across the isle is Chaim Herzog, the Israeli representative. This is the first time that both Israel and PLO have participated in a Security Council debate. The Council was discussing anti-Israeli unrest on the occupied West Bank of Jordan.
