Podola Hanged: Guenther Fritz Podola, 30, was hanged this morning at 9.45 at Vandsworth Prison. He was sentenced to death at the Old Bailey on September 24 for the capital murder by shooting of Det. Sgt. Raymond Purdy. Photo shows A general view of the crowds which gathered outside the Prison during the execution of Podola.
