"Attempt To Murder Police" Charge: Two men appeared at Tower Bridge magistrates court this afternoon, accused of attempting to murder Police-Constables Anthony Gledhill and Terence McFall. They are Frederick James Davis, 35, dry-cleaning operator, of Charmaine House, Myrtle Street, Shoreditch, and William Gentry, 33, unemployed, no fixed address. Photo shows 33-year-old William Gentry one of the accused, is seen wrapped in a blanket and handcuffed to a detective, as he left the court today.
