"The Demon King of the Underground' - This policeman on night duty at 12.15 a.m. at Piccadilly Circus Underground station had quite a shock when Leonard ("Darky') Fiedl popped up through a trap door just like the Demon King in the pantomime. He was coming up for a breather after working in the dust and darkness below.
