Description

Cartoon dispute "Stops the Standard". This is the Jak cartoon which appeared in today's first edition of the Evening Standard. Printing of paper was stopped after workers' representatives had objected tot he cartoon, which attacked power-station workers. It was during the print run of the second edition that the federated house chapel - the organisation representing all trade unionists on the paper - objected.
