Description
The British Museum: The King's Library: The famous library collected by George lll was presented by George Iv in 1823 and is now housed in a special room built for it. In wall cases not only the monarch's books but Oriental manuscripts and early examples of Chinese printing, and early examples of European work exhibitions of Bookbinding. The room, built Sir. Robert Smirke is the earliest part of the present building.
