1965 Press Photo Carlheinz Scheidtmann designed garden

A spacesaving greenhouse: the gardener Carlheinz Scheidtmann (Carlheinz Scheidtmann) from Essen has constructed. It consists of a big wheel, which has a diameter of 3 meters and which weighs about 500 kilos and makes 6 turns every hour. In this way every flower gets both sun and shadow. An engine with 1 horsepower is enough to drive 5-6 wheels. These wheels make it possible to have automatic irrigation works.
