TV Gets Automatic lift Soon to be used by a British TV company for outdoor televising is a truck-borne hydraulic platform which can raise a cameraman up to a height of 10 ft., taking the place of scaffolding when a high-angle camera position is needed. All moment are controlled by the cameraman from the platform, by pedals for raising and lowering and by a knee-operated ration control. Entirely hydraulic operation is provided by a pump driven by a small motor. The platform will be shown at the Brimingham section of the British Industries Fair, April 23 - May 4 Photo Shows: The hydraulic platform in TV action Manufacturers: Simon Hydraulic Machinery.
