Description
Lost French cat finds master 133 miles away Last year Alphonse, a French cat vacationing in the mountainous region of Auvergne,France with his owners, strayed off on the prowl,as felines do,and got himself lost.Dismayed and thinking their pet gone forever,Maitre Pelenc and his wife returned to their home at Hyeres on the French Riveria where Pelenc is a notary(-in Europe an official and legal adviser on estate matters, etc). But all as it turned out was not lost. Alphonse, miraculously,is back. Some 16 months and 133 miles later exhausted, hungry but with unflagging loyalty he has somehow found his way back to the Pelenc home in Southern France. He may have only 8 lives left, but you've got to admit the cat's instinct about where he lives is bang on. OPS: A triumphant if somewhat thoughtful Alphonse gets a soothing pat from his mistress,Madame Pelenc
