Description
Blind Partiality... "... you may be ugly little creatures but you are mine, all mine!" Dr. Carl Claus Hagenbeck of Hamburg's world famous Hagenbeck Zoo couldn't believe his eyes when he spotted this monkey mother with her two newborn babes in arms. Apes very rarely have twin births, and in Hamburg's Zoo such a happy event has not taken place for over 50 years. The mother is a rhesus monkey from India, but was born in Hamburg. The Hagenback Zoo is preparing a new compound for apes near the children's playground, and in the spring the new off springs who should be toddlers by then, will perform their antics to a no doubt delighted young audience.

Photo measures 6 x 8.25 inches.

Photo is dated 1-11-1975.
