Description
Training for horticultural students at the Royal Gardens Windsor - The Queen has approved a scheme for the training of horticultural students at the Royal Gardens, Windsor and the Gardens, Windsor Great Park. A maximum of twelve places will be awarded annually and the first course will begin in the 1st Jan. 1969. The object of the scheme is to provide students with the practical experience normally required as a condition of entry by the leading horticultural training establishments and the county colleges of horticulture. In conjunction with the Berkshire Education Authority, a carefully balanced two year course has been devised, during which students will spend one year in the Royal Gardens, Windsor, and one year in the Gardens, Windsor Great Park, under the tutelage of the foreman and department heads.
