For this purpose the American army placed at the disposal of the rifle-man 10.000 cartridges. All types of rifles were there, also these who had been hidden since the end of the war. They were shooting at a distance of 130 meters. freehand-shooting on targets, minature-rifle shooting and pistols, but also clay-pigeon shooting.
