Description
German-American Festival of Rifle-man with firearms was held in Garmisch on September 12th and 13th, 1953. For this purpose the American army placed at the disposal of the rifle-man 10.000 cartridges. All types of rifles were there, also these who had been hidden since the end of the war. They were shooting at a distance of 130 meters. freehand-shooting on targets, minature-rifle shooting and pistols, but also clay-pigeon shooting. Representatives of well know Bavarian rifle-man clubs, American officers and G.I.'s had their noble contest during which they also drank quite a lot of beer and coca-cola. When the targets were no more to be seen in the darkness then the shooting was stopped. Besides there was also a contest of German and American anglers at the same occasion. There they were showing how fare they could throw the angle and also throwing the angle into a fixed target etc. I mean that daddy will really do his best. this Hallbular Jr. son of the Olympia winner of 1936, who is very much interested in his father's results.
