Lightship Tries to Break Loose from Pack Ice. For the first time since the severe winter of 1947 the decision was taken to bring in the light ship "Elbe 2" which was in serious trouble from pack ice which pressed in from all sides. Photo Shows: The "Elbe 2" with the aid of a tug - the "Atlas" tries to break loose from the pack ice and return to its North Sea harbor, The tug had put out from Cuxhaven.
