1968 Press Photo "Prosper" the penguin on dogs back and Michaela Le Biahn

Black Tide' Penguin has a home: Thousands of birds soiled with the oil from the 'Terry Canyon' perished on ten coasts of Brittany last year. A Penguin was saved by M. Le Bihan, a Frenchman who lives near Calais. Now "Prosper" (as the penguin have been named) is a friend of Le Bihan's family and of their dog 'Zef'. "Prosper" cosily seated on the dog's back takes its daily walk on the beach under the watchful eyes of 6-year-old Michaela, Le Biahn's daughter.
