Description
âœUnexploded Bomb❠scare in the city â Police closed a city crossroads today and diverted traffic and pedestrians when a suspected unexploded bomb was discovered by workmen deep below the roadway, at the junction where Aldergate Street crosses between Barbican and Long Lane, and a bomb disposal unit was called. But the âœbomb❠turned out to be either water main or a gas main. Keystone Photo Shows: Traffic piled up in Farringdon Road as a result of the diversion caused by the âœunexploded bomb❠H/Keystone
