Caravan Village For The Parachute Regiment. They Call It A "Paradise" - Near Aldershot. Members of the Parachute Regiment, of which General Sir Richard Gale is Colonel Commandant acre purchasing luxury caravans by installments - from the army - to overcome the acute shortage of married Pegasus Village - after the winged horse emblem of village is expected to be almost a self contained community of 40 oaravans, with water - electricity - a club room - children a nursery - grocery shop with launderette, Building from a discussed wartime hospital on he site provides accomadation for washing rooms - toilets - bathrooms - store sheds and for the nursery club. They are already more than 20 families living tin the village. The last Bn. Parachute Regt. had idea i the first place - and the 3rd. Bn. Hants., and the paratroopers paid $30 down - and the remainder at $45 a week - within two years.. They think it is like paradise. Photo Shows Sgt. Jim Sal, of the 1st. who comes from Yorkshire - works in the garden in frnt of his Caravan at Pegasus Village.
