66 die in the worst disaster in the History of British Football at Ibrox Park in Glasgow: 66 fans were killed and another 168 were in hospital early today after Britain's worst-ever soccer disaster. It happened yesterday at Ibrox Park, Glasgow after the traditional New year game between Glasgow Rangers and Celtic. As the 80,000 fans were leaving the ground somebody fell on a sloping exit, others fell on top and it snowballed until a crush barrier collapsed and meet of those who died were trampled on and suffocated. Photo shows Police and ambulance men tending one of the injured in yesterday's soccer disaster.
