The President of the Republic Giuseppe Saragat named him senator to life for the past activity of Nenni as parliamentary, Minister of State, exiled in France during the Fascism. Pietro Nenni attends at the séances of the Senate, where every his intervention is followed with interest. He spent his free time in his Villa in Formia, about 150 KM from Rome where he cultivate flowers and plays to the âœbocceâ, the Italian bowling.
