Gordon Pirie sees "The Villain" in Action.. Watches Zatopek Film: Britain's wonder athlete Gordon Pirie, bank Clerk of Coulsdon, Surrey, went to the pictures to see his favorite "Villain" - Czechoslovakia's ace Emil Zatopek.. He saw a film of the fantastic Czech in action so that he could study points which might help him regain the record next year- a record taken from him by Zatopek this month when he beat Gordon's 28 min. 19.4 sec six-mile world record by 11 sec.
